According to the investigation, Eli Lilly's new Alzheimer's drug has excellent efficacy data. Among them, the use of this drug for 76 weeks delayed the decline of iADRS by 22%, and the CDR-SB score delayed the decline by 29%. After Eli Lilly's new drug is approved, it will compete directly with Eisai/Biogen's Leqembi.

Subsequently, Eli Lilly's stock price rose 2.14% after the market, and its market value exceeded 840 billion US dollars. After the popularity subsided, Eli Lilly's total market value still reached 821.75 billion.

Previously, Eli Lilly announced its Phase 2 clinical trial SYNERGY- Positive results for NASH. The analysis showed that compared with placebo, 73.3% of patients treated with the highest dose of tirzepatide achieved the primary endpoint of MASH regression without worsening of liver fibrosis, and more than half of the patients experienced significant improvement in grade ≥1 liver fibrosis.

It is worth noting that on May 21, Eli Lilly's Mufengda (Telpotide Injection) was approved by the China National Medical Products Administration to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Telpotide is a GIPR and GLP-1R agonist injected once a week. GLP-1 and GIP are two natural incretin hormones. Studies have shown that GIP can reduce food intake, increase energy expenditure, and thus reduce weight. When GIP is used in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists, it may have a greater impact on patients' blood sugar and weight. Relevant data show that Telpotide can produce a better weight loss effect than semaglutide, which is known as the "magic drug for weight loss." The average weight loss of subjects taking Mufengda 5mg and 10mg was 7.8 kg and 10.3 kg, respectively, and the average weight loss of the semaglutide 1mg group was 6.2 kg.
